Cookie policy

VirtualCFO sets a small number of cookies, all to keep you signed in or to remember a choice. It sets no advertising cookies.

Last updated: 07-Nov-2026

1. Cookies and browser storage

Needed to work, and always on: a session cookie that keeps you signed in when you have an account, the cookie cc_cookie that remembers your banner choice, and browser storage for your theme (virtualcfo-theme), your invoices and profile (a database called virtualcfo), your sign-in state (Firebase Authentication) and the identifier for your consent record (virtualcfo-anon). While you sign in by email link, your email address waits in browser storage until you open the link. No advertising cookies are set.

2. Analytics cookies

Only if you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies that begin with _ga to tell visits apart. If you reject analytics, or never answer, none are set and the Google Analytics script is not loaded.

3. Your choice

The banner offers Accept all, Reject all and a choice by category. Change it any time from Preferences, under Cookie settings. The banner also lists an advertising category. No advertising runs today, and it will load only if you accept that category. Read the privacy policy for what we do with your choice.

2. CA directory pages

Directory pages set no cookies of their own. A profile with a map loads Google Maps. The search box and the profile request form load Cloudflare Turnstile. Each can set cookies or use browser storage under its own policy.
